Zhao Gang was born in Jinan in 1966, and is originally from Laizhou, Shandong Province of China. He is the vice president of the Qilu Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, a member of the Art Committee of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, vice president of the Ciguang Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, and executive director of the Jinan Multicultural Exchange Association.
Since childhood, Zhao Gang has been devoted to Danqing, learning painting with Liu Junsheng, Xiao Yu, Zhang Dengtang, Xie Wei Chu and other masters.
